Day 3

For today, day number 3, I caught up on sleep so...no more jet lag! yay! We woke up at 1pm and ate another local Taiwanese meal, which is a beef bowl with noodles (I had beef tendons included in mines, while my friends got theirs with a curry broth...so good!). After our brunch we helped my friend Nial settle into his new home in XinBeiTou. It took us about an hour to get from Gongguan to XinBeiTou. Although the building looked sketchy on the outside, the inside was like another world. His loft was well designed and very cozy!
Brunch!
Completely surprised me how nice this place was!
After we helped our friend settle in, we caught the MRT to TamShui. This area was another main tourist attraction and had a very nice view of the harbor and sunset. It pretty much was like a boardwalk with more food!...and games. We stayed there until the sun went down and bought some snacks. As you'll see below, we bought fried won tons and this milk taffy-like candy with almonds that my friend, Nial, really loves (It was actually very good even though I am never a fan of candy like Laffy-Taffy).
TamShui - Day

TamShui - Night

For dinner, we caught the MRT back to XinTian to eat Teppanyaki. The food was very good with a mild spicy flavor with it. And this basically sums up my day today. Time to sleep...stay tuned!
